During the weekend of 2nd to 3rd March 2024, the Centre de la danse Arte Corpo is delighted to welcome three teachers from the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance for a "Workshop Audition".

What is a "Workshop Audition ?"
For two days, participants have the opportunity to follow the classes of three renowned teachers and choreographers. Classes last one and a half hours and include ballet, contemporary, floor work and improvisation. These classes are open to everyone aged 15 and over.
As an additional opportunity, participants may, if they wish, request that their participation in the workshop be considered as an audition enabling them, if successful, to enter the Rambert School. To do this, the participant must mention this when registering and an additional form from the Rambert School must be completed. In addition, an interview will take place on the day of the workshop and the auditionee will present a 1min solo. Schedules and further information will be sent by e-mail following registration.
Age requirements: the dancer must be 16 years old on 1st September 2024.
Qu'est-ce qu'un "Workshop Audition" ?
Durant deux jours, les participants ont l'opportunité de suivre les cours de trois professeurs et chorégraphes de renommée. Les cours durent une heure trente et sont les suivants : ballet, contemporary, floor work et improvisation. Ces cours sont ouvert à tou.te.s à partir de 15 ans et demi.
Opportunité supplémentaire, les participants peuvent, s'ils le désirent, demander à ce que leur participation au workshop soit considérée comme une audition permettant, en cas de succès, d’entrer à Rambert School pour débuter des études au sein du conservatoire. Pour ce faire, le ou la participant.e devra le mentionner lors de l’inscription et un formulaire supplémentaire de la Rambert School sera à compléter. De plus, une interview aura lieu le jour du workshop et la personne auditionnée devra présenter un solo de 1min. Les horaires et informations supplémentaires seront précisées par e-mail à la suite de l'inscription.
Âge requis : le danseur ou la danseuse doit avoir l’âge de 16 ans le 1er septembre 2024.
Weekend schedule
Each lesson lasts 1h30 and there is a 30 min. break between lessons.
It is not possible to take part in the courses individually at a reduced price (no "à la carte" formula). The participant pays the sum of 80€ and has access to the 5 classes of 1h30 of the weekend.
In the event of large numbers of participants, dancers will be split into two separate groups and classes will be held in two studios at the same time.
At the end of the weekend, participants are invited to attend a talk with the teachers about life as a student at Rambert School, as well as a career as a professional dancer and other careers in classical and contemporary dance.

Chaque cours dure 1h30 et il y a 30 minutes de pause entre chaque cours.
Il n'est pas possible de participer aux cours individuellement à prix réduit (pas de formule "à la carte"). Le participant règle la somme de 80€ et a accès aux 5 cours de 1h30 du week-end.
En cas de forte affluence, les participants seront divisés en deux groupes distincts et les cours auront lieu dans deux studios à la fois.
A la fin du week-end, les participants sont invités à assister à un talk afin d'échanger avec les professeurs sur la vie d'étudiant à Rambert School ainsi que sur la carrière de danseur.euse professionnel.le et sur les autres métiers liés à la danse classique et contemporaine.

Joshua Ecob - Classical Ballet Tutor
| Born in Nottinghamshire, Joshua started his training at KSDance. From 2010 Joshua danced for the Serbian National Ballet, then after the Bosnian National Ballet before returning to the UK and joining London Contemporary Ballet Theatre. | Né dans le Nottinghamshire, Joshua a commencé sa formation chez KSDance. Arran Green - Contemporary Dance Tutor
| Arran Green, originally from North London, is a dance lecturer that specialises in the ‘ground based’ techniques that contribute to modern contemporary floor work. An early background in Capoeira gave him an acute understanding of how to successfully move through the floor as well as the uniting power of movement and its place within community and personal development. | Arran Green, originaire du nord de Londres, est un professeur de danse spécialisé dans les techniques « au sol » qui contribuent au travail au sol contemporain moderne. Jason Mabana - Contemporary Dance Tutor and Rehearsal and Production Director
| Jason Mabana is a choreographer and teacher based in London. He trained at The Rambert school, and worked as dancer for Akram Khan Company, Shobana Jeyasingh, Wayne McGregor and Candoco Dance Company. As well as being a lecturer in contemporary dance at The Place and The Royal Ballet school, Jason is the artistic director of Jason Mabana Dance. | Jason Mabana est un chorégraphe et professeur basé à Londres. Il s'est formé à l'école Rambert et a travaillé comme danseur pour la Akram Khan Company, Shobana Jeyasingh, Wayne McGregor et la Candoco Dance Company.
